On April 30, 2024, the College of Science's Science Education Center held the "First College of Science 'Origami' Paper Airplane Science Competition" at the Yiren Hall Basketball Court. The competition was open to undergraduate and graduate students of the university, with a total of 31 teams registered. The competition categories included "Longest Straight-Line Flight Distance" and "Longest Flight Time," as well as a combined score category, "Top Gun! Comprehensive Score," which integrated both metrics.

Through this paper airplane science competition, students were able to integrate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education into their learning process. They applied theoretical knowledge to practice, gaining a deeper understanding of physics principles, including aerodynamics, mechanics, and materials science, while also enhancing their creative thinking and teamwork skills.

The winning students will represent the university in the intercollegiate competition jointly organized by National Central University, Chung Yuan Christian University, and Tunghai University on May 8, 2024.
